 We are setting-up educational and non formal activities to the children with the objective of re-integrating them to the public school. Through this project, the streets children of Vientiane are accompanied and followed: Aide et Action trains a group of social educators, organizes educational activities for the streets children and manages their medical follow-up.

A new center was built in Vientiane to welcome the children to update their level so that they can join the public school later. It proposes literacy classes, but also cultural and artistic activities (draw, puppet show, cartoons, music, theatre and dance)… Prevention campaigns are also organized in seven communities to inform the families of the risks of sending the children towards cities.

Today, about 300 children (living and\or working in the streets) are concerned by this project.

For 2011, the School Base Activities amounts 11'477 CHF; it includes books, pen, pencil, note books, bag, clothes, shoes for school children who left the street and went back to school. For family, training on basic skill is conducted, materials for handicraft is provided. At the beginning of the support, health checkup and some food is provided as well. In the center, where the children stay permanently, books, tools, pen, pencil, note books, bag, clothes, shoes are provided. Food is served and health checkup is also financed. Material for drawing, games, dance and culture show are covered as well.
